With summer right around the corner, we wanted to share with you our top 5 dog-friendly beach campsites in Canada. With restricted travel still in effect, many people will be planning domestic summer vacations. Even though it still feels like winter in some parts of Canada, it's important to start planning your trips now because accommodations are booking up FAST! So here are our top beach picks to camp with your dog(s)...

#1: Pacific Rim National Park (Ucluelet, BC)

Stroll along the sandy beaches, kayak pristine waters, hike the 75 km West Coast Trails or camp along picturesque rocky shores. There is no shortage of exciting outdoor fun to be had at the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Admission fees range from $5 to $8 per adult depending on activity, and nightly camping rates start at $7 per person, per night. 

Leashed dogs are welcome on beaches, trails, and campsites within the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve for no additional fee. This location also allows multiple dogs (2+) and is large dog friendly.

#2: Bella Pacifica Campground (Tofino, BC)

Located on beautiful, sandy MacKenzie Beach on the west coast of Vancouver Island, Bella Pacifica Campground is a popular destination of choice for families visiting Tofino, Long Beach and Pacific Rim National Park. Their private oceanfront and wilderness setting enables you to experience the wonder of the Old Growth forests and the pristine beaches famous to the area.

Bella Pacifica has a variety of camping and RV sites, each with their own picnic table and firepit. Advance reservations are required for summer camping and are recommended throughout the season.

#3: Twin Shores Camping Area (Kensington, PEI)

There are some rules and regulations with dogs, where excessive noise or hostile behaviour will not be tolerated. Pets are not permitted in park buildings unless a service animal. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times (except bark park) and cleaned up after. Dogipot waste stations are located throughout the park for your convenience.

#4: Jell-E-Bean Campground and Trailers (Wasaga Beach, ON)

With a stay at Jell-E-Bean Campground and Trailers in Wasaga Beach, you'll be near the beach and close to Blue Mountain Go-Karts and Fernwood Farms and Market.
